Jojo Rabbit is a 2019 comedy-drama film written and directed by Taika Waititi, based on Christine Leunens‘s 2008 book Caging Skies.
In the movie, Scarlett Johansson (whose son Johannes “Jojo” Betzler, is a Hitler Youth member) is Rosie, a mother who hides a Jewish girl in her attic unbeknownst to him.
When Jojo discovers it, he must question his beliefs, while dealing with the intervention of his imaginary friend, a comedic version of Adolf Hitler (played by Waititi) who advises him throughout the film.
