Kathryn Newton at “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” Premiere – London

Do you know the feeling when a color strikes you like lightning? That’s what happened to me when I saw Kathryn Newton‘s dress for the London premiere of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” on February 16, 2023.

I followed her press tour closely and I was just waiting for the right time to write about this dress.

For the red carpet, Newton looked amazing in a Givenchy purple ensemble with thin straps and sweetheart neckline, probably echoing a design from the Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection.

If you carefully look at the black dress above you will see the same patterns as the original, the cutouts that were added to it for added freedom of movement are now sewn together and look softer.

The French fashion house referred to it as Spring 2023 Pre-Collection, though.

She paired her gown with Valentino Tan-Go platform patent leather slide sandals in the color ‘Rose Cannelle‘, a Garrard Albemarle diamond necklace in 18ct white gold, a Garrard Albemarle Abstract diamond ear cuff in 18ct white gold, a Garrard Albemarle Abstract diamond ring and what look like three Albemarle diamond Eternity band rings.

Makeup artist Lisa Houghton made up Kathryn‘s face by giving her laminated looking brows, she then went on to create a classic winged eyeliner and applied a soft layer of glittery eyeshadow on her eyelids. She finished off the natural look with a nude creamy lipstick.

Hairstylist Jon Chapman styled Newton‘s hair is an elegant knotted updo with a deep side part. He made sure to secure her bangs by making them part of her structured coif.

We were not able to find any information regarding her long nails, even though they do look like press-ons, some of them had some crystals on top (her pedicure was red instead).
We’ll make sure to update this space if anything new comes to light.

Kudos to stylist Molly Dickson for snatching the adorable Kathryn Newton. Up until now, the actress didn’t require the services of a stylist, just like Blake Lively or Bryce Dallas Howard. As we all know, Dickson is a force when it comes to dressing her clients, especially young talents, in the best gowns from the most notable brands–this time was no exception.

I instantly fell in love with the color of her gown, it’s actually one of my favorites, and if you know the character she portrays in the movie, you’d also know that purple is the predominant color of her suit, just like Hawkeye. The stylist mentioned it herself on her Instagram: “She wanted purple in honor of her Marvel character”.

I think purple is a color that will never go out of style, keep it coming.
