The Cannes Film Festival is slowly creeping up on us, that’s why today I will reminisce about an outfit that caught my attention on its red carpet last year.
I observe the discussions about polarizing looks online because I can’t get over the fact that people can be so quick to judge an outfit when in reality there can be a serious thought process behind it that we don’t know about.
That being said, let’s talk about what model Elsa Hosk wore to the Festival on her 3rd day attending it.
Hosk donned a gold shoulderless Valentino dress with black lace accents throughout from the Fall-Winter 2025 collection–probably inspired by old Valentino Garavani designs.

She complemented her ensemble with a Messika 17-carat pear-cut necklace and the Messika Hypnotic Scale ring on her left ring finger.
Elsa was made up by Harold James who opted for a 70s glam: slightly combed up eyebrows, a reverse eyeliner, nude defined lips and body shimmer strategically applied on her chest and shoulders.
Anne Sofie Begtrup styled her hair in voluminous middle-parted waves that gently caressed her back and front part of her shoulders for a stunning bombshell effect.
Her nude oval-shaped manicure was probably courtesy of Jenny, since she did the model’s nails days prior and they have the same style.
The Swedish fashion model was dressed by her friend and collaborator Dani Michelle with whom she is able to exchange thoughts, inspirations and ideas because Elsa already has a carefully crafted and impeccable sense of style on her own.

Resurrection is a 2025 epic science fiction drama film written and directed by Bi Gan.
Set in a future where humanity has given up dreaming, it stars Jackson Yee as a dying monster who becomes different characters as he relives 100 years across four dreams, aided by a woman (Shu Qi) using the lost techniques of cinema.
The six segments of the film each corresponds to one of the six senses recognized in Buddhist thought: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and mind.
The film had its world premiere at the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on 22 May, where it won the Prix Spécial.
