Hiromi Ueda is an Osaka-born makeup artist who draws inspiration from both her Japanese heritage and London, where she has lived for over twenty years.
This cultural duality informs her work, which ranges from vibrant, pop-inspired designs to clean, classic looks, showcasing her versatility as a makeup artist.
In 2024, Ueda was appointed Global Makeup Artist for Armani Beauty.
She has collaborated with photographers David Sims, Paolo Roversi, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Juergen Teller and Craig McDean, among others.
Ueda has overseen makeup for the runway shows of brands including Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Missoni, Junya Watanabe, J.W. Anderson, Daks, Molly Goddard, Ann Demeulemeester and Philosophy.
