Today I wanted to dedicate this article to those who long for sophistication in dressing and those who admire craftsmanship above all else.

The world is hectic, the news cycle is spinning on itself and I wanted to remind myself that there is pleasure in slowing down from time to time, and the way to do it for me is to observe what’s beautiful and brings me joy and comfort.

That being said, let’s analyze what model Hailey Bieber wore to this year’s Academy Museum Gala.

For the event, the dark blonde stunner donned a magnificent Schiaparelli Haute Couture bustier dress in brown moiré vintage ribbons and transparent mesh enhanced with exaggerated hips and a slit held in place by an antique rhinestones brooch from the Spring-Summer 2025 collection.

To complement the look, Bieber opted for a Schiaparelli heeled mule with an asymmetrical wavy décolleté in nude floral corset canvas.

According to the online publication Only Natural Diamonds, the American entrepreneur complemented her ensemble with a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet in platinum-iridium from the Archives, created in 1957, 12-carat diamond earrings and a 6-carat diamond ring from the 2024 Tiffany Blue Book Collection.

Hailey is a natural beauty, so when it comes to makeup artists who work with her, they just need to make sure to be able to enhance what’s already there, because truly, enhancing her features is the best way to go.

One person who is incredible at doing it is undoubtedly Mary Phillips, who channeled her expertise in her own makeup line m.ph which she also used for this look.

Starting from a moisturized face using Rhode products, Phillips matched the color of the model’s dress using earthy tones and focused her attention on underpainting (a technique she is famous for) to better define Hailey‘s features.

Here is a product breakdown, straight from the pro’s Instagram:

“- Rhode Peptide Eye Prep Patches
Rhode Glazing Milk
Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid
Rhode Glazing Mist
m.ph Underpainting Palette in ‘Medium

Rhode Pocket Blushes in ‘Toasted Teddy‘, ‘Tan Line‘ & ‘Piggy
Rhode Peptide Lip Shape in ‘Balance
m.ph Overliner Lip Pencil in ‘Cowgirl
m.ph Lip Ciggy in ‘First Base‘”

When it came to the hair, Bryce Scarlett styled it in a sleek middle-parted chin-length bob, using Kérastase products (which you’ll find listed below together with a little tutorial, slightly edited for clarity).

– Shampoo and condition with Gloss Absolu Shampoo and Conditioner
– On wet hair, apply Densifique Densifying Treatment Mousse to the roots and Gloss Absolu Anti-Frizz Glaze Milk through the mid-lengths and ends
– Blow dry using a large round brush for volume and a smooth finish
– Using a 1 1/4 inch barrel curling iron, take sections of hair and softly curl them in alternating directions leaving the face frame out
– For the face frame use a 2inch curling iron and softly curl away from the face
– Brush out the curls with a boar bristle brush
– Apply a small amount of the Glaze Drops to your hands and smooth over the hair for shine and a polished finish
– Spray Laque Couture Hair Spray all over for hold

One of the most striking and trend-setting aspects of this look was Hailey‘s brown cat-eye color-changing manicure that looked like a simple lacquered brown one from certain angles and with the same color of her waistband from others.

The artist behind it? Of course it was Zola Ganzorigt.

Here are the OPI products she used (the list is courtesy of Ganzorigt):
– One coat of mix of ‘Brown to Earth‘ and ‘No Wipe Top Coat
– One coat of mix of cat-eye powder, ‘Brown to Earth and ‘No Wipe Top Coat
– ‘No wipe Top Coat

You can see the nails up-close by checking the 3rd and 4th slides from a carousel the pro posted on her Instagram profile.

Hailey was styled by Andrew Mukamal, the perfect shift in direction in this new phase of her life as a mother.

Mukamal has proved time and time again that his mature and pragmatic approach to dressing is the winning formula in the crowded space of celebrity styling–and I can confidently say it because I’ve been following his career for a long time, since his Zoë Kravitz days.
