On this freezing Thursday I wanted to talk about prints, because they are not that common on the red carpet if you think about it.

People have a tendency to play it safe on such occasions and patterns are riskier than an usual long, black dress.

As always, I praise individuals who go against the grain, so I decided to write about what model Jourdan Dunn wore while attending The Fashion Awards last year.

Dunn donned a Dior cheetah print short sleeve jacket with shorts and a brimmed beret from the Fall-Winter 2024-2025 Ready-to-Wear collection, paired with black Jimmy Choo Saeda 100 heeled sandals.

To complement her fashionable and cheeky ensemble, she opted for statement jewelry pieces by Bucherer: a High Jewellery necklace crafted in 18K white gold, featuring a 21.04 ct. mint tsavorite with octagonal cut, complemented by over 1,300 diamonds in an array of baguette, brilliant, fancy, and square emerald cuts, a pair of Baguette Love Promis-System ear pins in 18K white gold, a Baguette Love diamond ring on her right ring finger, a Peekaboo ring in 18K white gold, diamonds and aquamarine on her left ring finger, plus another aquamarine tennis bracelet from the Peekaboo collection on her right wrist.

The British model was made up by Saba Khan using Charlotte Tilbury products.

Khan created a flawless base accentuated by a light silver highlighter carefully placed on the apples of the cheeks, bridge of the nose and brow bone, feathered false lashes and mauve cholita lips sealed the deal.

Her hair was styled in a short do by Jordan Jay Brumant, but we could barely see it because it was covered by her hat.

What was glamorous and worthy of attention was her glitzy, reflective oval-shaped manicure, courtesy of her friend and long time collaborator Kate Williamson.

I loved how the glitter on the nails mimicked the diamonds on her necklace and her other accessories–it’s these subtleties that make a look worth analyzing in detail, and above all, it’s a way for me to call attention to the often forgotten work of nail artists who don’t get credited enough.

I know a lot about this impolite practice and I fight to reverse it, because I regularly give up on writing specific articles because I can’t trace back the work of the manicurist (if I know for certain that one was involved).

So here I am, giving Kate all the flowers she deserves.

Last but not least, Jourdan was styled by Justin Hamilton, who did an incredible job elevating her style for the occasion, expertly matching her skin tone to the ensemble and accentuating in a very elegant and clever way the incredible physique she has.
