Cynthia Erivo is such a joyful individual and she lights up a room whenever she enters it.

I got to know her thanks to her role in Harriet and from that moment I fell in love with her voice and her willingness to advocate for less privileged people.

Seen that we write about red carpet moments on here, I thought it was worth mentioning her magnificent ensemble for the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala, held at the LACMA on November 02, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

Erivo wore a purple Gucci silk V-neck gown with frog-closure detail, accessorized with a blue Gucci sequin clutch with crystal butterfly closure. On her ears, a pair of David Webb Green Hill earrings made up of carved jade plaques, cabochon sapphires, brilliant-cut diamonds, 18K gold, and platinum (almost identical to these ones).

The big star of the look was a David Webb 18K yellow gold & diamond Prism ring.

Sadly her shoes were not visible, so we cannot identify them.

Notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries gather at LACMA for this Gala which honors influential artists.

Proceeds go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission. This includes exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming that explore the intersection of art and film.

LACMA Productions is an award-winning extension of the museum’s film initiative. Over the last years, along with the establishment of the Art+Film initiative, LACMA has dedicated resources to producing a series of short documentary films on artists. Commissioned from emerging and mid-career filmmakers, the museum’s short documentaries have earned official selections at leading international film festivals.
