One of the most striking outfits of last year’s Oscars was the one worn by Colman Domingo. His true essence and style came through and we were so eager to write about it.
Domingo donned a bright fuchsia Atelier Versace three-piece suit from the Fall-Winter 2020 collection. The design was enriched with lustrous crystal-embroidery in a degradé pattern.
The actor further described the ensemble with rich details, admiring the craftsmanship and the work that went into it: “Composed of a suit jacket with a peak lapel, enriched by an embroidery with a liquid effect made of 4500 precious Swarovski crystals and sequins that cover the shoulders of the jacket in a degradé effect. A shirt in tone with the same embroidered placket, the vest and the trousers with smoking bands, as well as the golden buttons with a Medusa detail complete the look. 150 hrs of embroidery work!”
The look was accessorized with a David Yurman Waves cuff, a Waves band ring in 18k yellow gold with forged carbon, a beveled band ring in 18k yellow gold with diamonds, a 18k gold faceted band ring and a gold band signet ring. To finish the chic look, he opted for a pair of Christian Louboutin Greggo Flat black patent leather lace-up shoes.
Colman Domingo and Andrew Rannells hosted ‘Oscars: After Dark‘, a program airing immediately after the ceremony, where they interviewed winners and nominees.
He also attended the award show to support his co-stars who were nominated for their role in the movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, which was itself nominated in the categories Best Costume Design (winner) and Best Makeup and Hairstyling (winner).
You can currently watch Domingo star in “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Euphoria“.
