Zoë Kravitz looked otherworldly for this year’s MET Gala. She definitely did not follow the theme but her brand’s affiliation–spoiler alert: Saint Laurent. The result was so good that we can forgive her for that.
The stunner wore a custom sheer dress by Saint Laurent which incorporated a halter neck bra decorated with rhinestones in an all-over YSL monogram and a bedazzled Saint Laurent thong that followed the same style.
Of course her shoes of choice were a pair of black leather Saint Laurent Bea 105 sandals and Jessica McCormack mixed-cut mismatched pendant earrings and a Jessica McCormack Tilted Pear Diamond Button Back Ring.
The bag she was spotted wearing here and there was a black custom Saint Laurent pouch, totally matching her embellished dress.
The idea for the very risqué dress was Zoë‘s, who decided to expand her signature bras into a full underwear set with the help of Saint Laurent‘s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.
The vintage pieces by McCormack are a staple in the actress’ everyday life, a thing that Kravitz also revealed to Vogue UK: “I live in her jewelry, I really do. Once I put something on, I just could leave it on. I love that Jessica creates these special, unique pieces that look great with a gown, but also a T-shirt. That’s totally my vibe.”
The two became friends, so much so that Zoë pops into the jeweler’s Carlos Place townhouse whenever she’s in town.
For her nails, manicurist Casey Herman opted for an orange-y nail polish which went perfectly with the spicy nature of the dress.
