Zendaya looked like a Black goddess for the 2018’s Oscars. In a dress that complemented her chocolate skin, the singer turned actress has become a gorgeous woman in the blink of an eye.
Coleman wore an asymmetrical chocolate brown one-shouldered Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress from the Spring 2018 Couture collection–its chiffon fabric sweeping the floor, gave the ensemble a regal–but at the same time–fresh look. Everything was paired with Bulgari diamond and platinum jewels from the brand’s archive, including Art Deco pendant earrings (circa 1930), two bracelets (circa 1930 and 1928), and two rings (according to Forbes.com).
On her feet a pair of Brian Atwood black satin Karin platform sandals.
According to a The Hollywood Reporter interview, her long time stylist Law Roach shared that he instantly liked the dress while attending Paris Fashion Week that January: “The color is a really deep chocolate brown, which is a bit odd for the red carpet. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone wear this shade on the carpet. When I saw it at the couture show, I just thought that it was spectacular and I fought for it a bit and finally got it. We had our first fitting on Thursday, so it was down to the wire!”

According to a HelloGiggles.com‘s email between the outlet and Zendaya‘s hairstylist, there was a little bit of debate between the two before the event: “Zendaya and I went back and forth about her look for tonight’s show, but ultimately landed on a sleek and chic top knot to enhance the elegant silhouette created by her Giambattista Valli dress.”
Stephen used a Dove smooth and shine heat protection spray, a Dyson hairdryer, a Suave Beauty natural hold compressed micro mist hairspray and Tresemme’s compressed micro mist smooth and boost hairsprays to finish off Z‘s hair.

In the movie, Coleman played the role of Anne Wheeler, an acrobat and trapeze artist.
