On this website we appreciate fine craftsmanship and attention to detail, hence why you must believe us when we tell you that today’s article will revolve around an incredibly well crafted outfit.

We looked through our archives and we took a closer look at Yahya Abdul-Mateen II‘s ensemble for this year’s Tony Awards. We are sure you won’t be upset.

For the award show, Yahya wore a Ferragamo graphite wrap jacket, paired with matching high waisted slim tailored trousers, a white cotton shirt and white tie from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection.

He complemented his dapper outfit with black Ferragamo square toe boots and matte gold rectangular frame sunglasses with transparent lenses.

The first thing that came to mind was the actor’s commitment to elevate the vision of the brand’s new creative designer Maximilian Davis, finally a Black designer at the helm of an Italian fashion house (which is highly uncommon).

The second thing we noticed was that Ferragamo has now distinctive traits that make it truly recognizable, something that was lost through time with its early predecessors.

Maximilian is proving to have a firm creative idea in mind and the utmost respect for the heritage of the brand. He is bringing back several accessories that were iconic to the label and modernizing them for a more current feel, and people are loving it–actors, models and influencers alike.

Groomer Merrell Hollis was in charge of the “Ambulance” actor’s grooming, which involved products and tool by Bevel. Here is what the pro used:

Bevel Exfoliating Pads;
Bevel Face Gel;
Bevel Bald Balm;
Bevel Limited Edition Gold Trimmer;
– Afro Hair Pick Comb.

Once again, Yahya worked in tandem with stylist Jan-Michael Quammie, who has elevated his style to new heights. Her keen eye for luxurious textures and exquisite taste when it comes to men’s suiting makes her the perfect fashion partner for the actor.

I always take a look at her Instagram whenever I know that the “Candyman” actor is promoting something new, because I already know I will probably be obsessed.

Check her out if you have the chance, and in case you didn’t know it, she is also Yahya‘s partner, as it was confirmed once they kissed in the photo booth of this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty.
