Another man whose style I find intriguing is Troye Sivan. I think he brings to the table that levity and fearlessness that we so desperately need right now.
I was particularly mesmerized by his outfit for this year’s Grammy Awards, especially since lilac is one of my favorite colors.
For the event, Sivan was indeed seen wearing a custom Prada periwinkle silk organza suit with silk organza shirt, purple crepe de chine scarf and black Prada leather lace-ups.
He accessorized his ensemble with a David Yurman Starburst diamond pin applied on the side of his scarf, a pair of David Yurman Petite Starburst Stud earrings and a David Yurman Chevron pinky ring in 18kt white gold with diamonds on his left pinky.
In an Instagram post shared by Troye‘s stylist, it seems that the inspiration for the look was probably Uma Thurman‘s gown for the 1995 Academy Awards, which coincidentally was also designed by Prada.
Troye was made up by Miriam Nichterlein, who opted for glowy skin, slightly filled-in brows and a little gloss.
The blonde Aussie’s hair was styled by Charlie Le Mindu in a short, messy do using the Schwarzkopf Osis+ Hold Elastic Hairspray and the Schwarzkopf Osis+ Glow Serum. The effect was fresh and youthful, playing down the formal nature of the attire.
Sivan was styled by Marc Forné, a very impactful player in the fashion field right now.
Forné has always had the ability to harmonize and sweeten cuts and colors that could be seen as stern or too strict, injecting his romantic sensibility into menswear, resulting in a delicious outcome.
The “Rush” singer’s relationship with Prada is one for the books, proving how the brand manages to stay relevant while innovating itself time after time.
