To close this week, I opted for subdued elegance, something I don’t necessarily strive for in my daily life.

I am all for striking outfits that subvert the norm, but I also know that not everyone is necessarily a fan, so I try my best to balance what I choose to analyze on the website.

One of the best examples of what I just mentioned was the recent premiere of the second season of “Tell Me Lies” in Santa Monica, and what I saw Thomas Doherty wearing for the occasion.

Doherty donned a Dior Men dark grey striped wool twill top and burgundy wool twill trousers from the Fall 2024 Menswear collection, paired with Dior Timeless Chelsea boots in black calfskin with gray and black Dior Oblique gradient patina.

He also accessorized his ensemble with precious Tiffany & Co. jewels: a T diamond earring on his left ear, a T1 ring in white gold on his left middle finger, a T1 Wide Diamond Hinged Bangle in white gold on his right wrist and a T1 Narrow Pavé Diamond Hinged Bangle in white gold on the same wrist.

When it came to his grooming, Sydney Sollod relied on Dior Beauty products to even out his skin tone while also making sure that his skin would serve as the perfect canvas. It of course doesn’t come as a surprise since Thomas has been a U.S. Dior Beauty Ambassador for some time now.

Meanwhile, his fresh short haircut was courtesy of Xavier Velasquez, for those wondering.

If we think about classic elegance, stylist Bailey Moon was the perfect choice, since he has been the subtle force behind outfits such as those of Dr. Jill Biden, that are notoriously highly sophisticated but also highly impactful.

Honestly, it’s an approach I am also seeing here, especially with the color combinations, the cuts, the modernity and the fresh feel that Moon was able to translate into clothes, especially for the premiere of a series that is truly targeted towards a young adult audience.

These clothes were evocative and sexy, truly a job well done.

Tell Me Lies is an American drama television series created by Meaghan Oppenheimer, based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Carola Lovering.

The series was released on Hulu on September 7, 2022. 

The series follows a relationship between Lucy Albright (played by Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (played by Jackson White) as it unfolds over the course of eight years after meeting at college.

In November 2022, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on September 4, 2024.
