I love it when male personalities step out of their comfort zone and dare on a red carpet. Leave it to Thomas Brodie-Sangster to manage to do it while looking dapper and cool for the UK premiere of “Pistol” held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on May 23, 2022.
For the occasion, Brodie-Sangster donned a Vivienne Westwood double-breasted jacket in black, green, red and yellow striped wool, paired with matching trousers from the Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection.
Underneath the colorful ensemble, he opted for a black turtleneck and on his wrist you could see–what appeared to be–an Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” featuring a black dial covered by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and graced by a small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder along with a central chronograph hand. Its black bezel, with its tachymetric scale, is mounted on a 42 mm stainless steel case and presented on a black leather strap.
To finish it all off, he wore a simple pair of black lace-up shoes.
I think it was the right choice to have William Gilchrist style the “Maze Runner” actor for this particular occasion, because it truly runs in his DNA combining the Rock and roll aesthetic with the charm of a suit. Not to mention his paying homage to a genius punk designer such as Vivienne Westwood. A masterful pairing.
