To close this week, I’d like to bring you some sparkles to cheer you up while you’re waiting for the weekend to begin and I’d like to do it by writing about Sydney Sweeney attending the New York City premiere of “Anyone but You“.

Sweeney stunned in a custom Miu Miu nude long dress fully embroidered with all over crystals and stones and with a leather belt detail, paired with Miu Miu metallic jeweled high-heel leather sandals.

The blonde stunner complemented her look with a pair of black onyx, black enamel and diamond pendant earrings to match her black belt, a diamond ear cuff on her left ear and two diamond rings on her right index finger and left middle finger.

According to Vogue, back in October already, Sydney‘s stylist Molly Dickson contacted the Miu Miu team so they could start creating the custom look for her client and since it was the first film Sweeney had in movie theaters, she felt a bigger pressure to tailor her look to this new role of hers in a more mature way.

In the same interview Dickson also talked a bit about the inspiration for the custom look.

Kendall Jenner’s Givenchy for the Met Gala was one of my all-time favorite looks ever. That was my first inspiration for it: something sheer, dripping in diamonds.”

The stylist also described the ensemble as “more elevated and fashion”, expressing Sydney‘s desire for something more “romantic and pretty” to wear for the occasion.

Molly also praised the actress’ newfound fashion knowledge despite her humble beginnings: “She’s from a small town in Washington. I think we were both tomboys growing up and we didn’t know fashion, and now she’s learning all the designers.

She’s becoming more knowledgeable of how important tailoring is and what works for her body. Her knowledge of fashion has progressed tremendously.”

A big part of the press tour was also coordinating Sydney‘s outfits with her co-star Glen Powell and his stylist Warren Alfie Baker (who dressed him in a Brioni suit for the occasion).

The “Euphoria” actress’ makeup consisted in a light application of a sparkly eyeshadow on the lids, soft combed brows and a thin trait of black eyeliner to define the eyes–to finish it off, abundant mascara.

The artist behind it was Melissa Hernandez, who put a lot of emphasis on skincare as a base, using products by Laneige.

Here they are:
– Cream Skin Toner and Moisturizer;
– Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer;
– Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Eye Cream;
– Lip Sleeping Mask.

Sadly the pro did not share any further details regarding the overall makeup look.

Celebrity hairstylist Glen Oropeza styled her hair in a delicate updo using The Hair Shop extensions and Shark Beauty tools. To add to the romantic vibe of the dress, he opted for a tendril caressing her left cheek while manicurist Zola Ganzorigt created a “precious” manicure for the actress.

Ganzorigt started with a light pink base that she embellished with chunks of crystals to match the dress; attention to detail at its finest.

Sydney was styled by Molly Dickson, a truly hardworking woman who is always ready in case a fashion problem arises. I’m in awe of her work and sometimes I do feel exhausted for her, seeing her juggling so much stuff all at once in different parts of the world.

A pro who is devoted to her invaluable team and the people around her, a true example of how tough her profession can be, even though to the masses everything seems glamour and fun.

I love her style evolution with Sydney and Sadie Sink and how she makes her clients look so effortless, cool and varied, without feeling repetitive. Dickson is definitely worth your attention, believe me.
