On this Thursday I’d love to write about an Italian brand that I truly love and that never fails to make my heart beat.

As you may have noticed, I reminisce a lot about the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty, which is truly one of my favorites because it offers me the chance to write about several different people from all walks of life who truly go out and show their best self for the night.

You can’t even begin to imagine the wreck I am after the party because of the huge amount of research that goes into it, but I love it so much and you readers love it too, so that’s a win-win situation for us.

That being said, here’s model Stella Maxwell attending last year’s famed Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty.

The Belgian-born Northern Irish model was seen wearing an Atelier Versace white, gold and grey beaded column dress from the Fall-Winter 2019 collection, paired with silver mirrored Versace platform ankle sandals.

She also accessorized it with a dark blue hoop earring on her right ear.

Worth noticing: Maxwell‘s dress is slightly altered, because the cross straps are on her back, leaving her chest not too much constricted. In the lookbook, the straps are in the front.

Stella‘s makeup was pretty simple but with her usual rock/punk edge.

Makeup artist Leah Darcy defined her eyes with a soft trait of black eyeliner pencil blended out on her lower and upper lash line, gently deepening her eyes with a soft black eyeshadow applied in a smokey way towards her temples. It looks like some chunks of individual lashes were also used for added drama.

The hair was styled in a relaxed half-up half-down wavy do by Arbana Dollani, following the creative direction of hairstylist extraordinaire Adir Abergel, using Virtue Labs products.

The do was let loose for the following Elton John AIDS Foundation Afterparty where she donned the same Atelier Versace dress; her nails were kept natural.

The model was styled by Marc Eram who I admire because his approach to red carpet styling is fresh and modern, his combinations are effortless but classy and there is always a surprise effect when you know some of his clients are supposed to attend an event.

The streamlined nature of his styling doesn’t lack forethought, which makes everything even more genuine and enjoyable.
