I miss the days when things were different and I didn’t feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, both as an individual and as a generation.

It’s incredibly hard to go on like this and I’ve never shied away from talking about it because I don’t believe in lies, not even for a second, especially online.

Whenever I feel like this, I resort to art, makeup and fashion and I admire the beauty of the things I have around me, trying to heal what’s broken even though I rarely succeed.

All of these ramblings were intended to say that I found grace and comfort in what actress Scarlett Johansson wore to this year’s Cannes Film Festival and I’m willing to share what I found out with you.

The blonde stunner donned a custom Prada dusty blue chiffon sleeveless dress with fine draping and symmetrical panels, paired with silver platform peep toe sandals.

Scarlett complemented her ensemble with a pair of De Beers Drop Earrings totaling over 13 carats of diamonds and a De Beers Cocktail Ring (on her right ring finger) set with a rare 2.15 carat Fancy Yellow Green diamond along other diamond designs, plus three line bracelets from the De Beers Classic collection.

What always gets me is Johansson‘s simplicity when it comes to makeup, starting off with a careful and thorough skincare regimen applied by Hung Vanngo massaging the skin, using the actress’ skincare line The Outset.

For makeup, the pro applied a thin veil of foundation, natural looking false lashes and a striking fiery red lipstick to contrast the color of the dress.

Johansson‘s hair was styled by David von Cannon in a sleek, chic high chignon, one of her trademark hairstyles.

From what I could gather, nail artist Mo Qin created her French manicure which was then touched up by Emi Kudo with Aprés products for the mani, and Dazzle Dry products for the pedicure.

The “Asteroid City” actress was styled by Kate Young who opted for subdued elegance and sweet simplicity, something Young often brings to the red carpet whenever she styles actresses who are willing to look good without overthinking it too much.
