Writing about a different culture is intriguing and whenever I come across something or someone whose nationality and heritage are different than mine, I always feel like I need to know more.
That’s what happened when I was first introduced to BLACKPINK and its members–a new world opened up to me.
Today we are indeed here to write about Rosé attending this year’s LACMA Art + Film Gala.
On the red carpet, Rosé donned a Saint Laurent floral one-shoulder mini dress.
She paired the ensemble with big diamond earrings, a Tiffany & Co. Victoria band ring on her right index finger, Saint Laurent black patent leather Betty ankle strap pumps and a black patent leather Le Anne-Marie shoulder bag featuring a hinged kiss-lock closure.
For some of the shots on the sofa that you can find in the gallery above, she was also wore a pair of Saint Laurent SL M94 black sunglasses featuring the Cassandre on the temples (which is the maison’s logo).
BLACKPINK’s longtime collaborator and makeup artist Maeng Ssaem focused the attention on Rosé‘s eyes that she defined with a thin trait of black eyeliner. The lid was bare and the eyebrows were defined with a slightly darker tone from that of her hair.
The Korean-New Zealand singer’s hair was styled in a simple middle part by Glen Coco, who proceeded to leave out two strands at the front of her hairdo so that they could frame her face and make it even more romantic. A perfect combo with the flowers on the dress.
As I was saying, researching the people who were part of this look I had the chance to discover stylist Park Se Jun, who I have never encountered before.
What is clear with Rosé though, is that she is very loyal to the brands who have a solid relationship/partnership with her, an undeniable fact about all those who work closely with Saint Laurent.
According to the event’s official statement: “On Saturday November 4, 2023, notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries gathered at LACMA for its twelfth annual Art+Film Gala honoring artist Judy Baca, along with leading American filmmaker David Fincher.
LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio will co-chaired the event for the twelfth consecutive year.”
“Proceeds from the annual Art+Film Gala go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission. This includes exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming, in addition to screenings that explore the intersection of art and film.
The Art+Film Gala was once again made possible by Gucci‘s longstanding and generous support.”
Additional support was provided by Audi.
