Ron Hartleben is a freelance NYC and LA based Fashion Stylist and Consultant.
Hartleben found his first internship on Craigslist and from there he worked his way up in the fashion industry while studying Communication Design at Parsons (which he eventually left once he was offered a position at CR Fashion Book).
In 2012, Ron moved to New York and started interning for Gus Romero, becoming his first assistant. After that, he started interning at V Magazine which taught him how to work at a magazine in a professional environment with other people and not just one stylist. From the magazine, he started freelancing more while still working for Romero.
Then, Chris Bartley (Editorial Director at CR Fashion Book) introduced him to CR, leading him to work there as a fashion intern for three months. Once there, Hartleben built a really good relationship with Ben (Perreira, now a Fashion Consultant and Stylist) who helped him secure freelance positions at Harper’s Bazaar.
While at CR, Hartleben worked as a sittings assistant till 2020, basically being Carine Roitfeld‘s second assistant on set for everywhere in America and sometimes in Europe–that applied to the magazine and all of her outside projects, too.
After his experiences at CR, Ron kept freelancing with other stylists.
His main clients right now are Anitta, Sabrina Carpenter and Sky Ferreira.
