Robert Downey Jr. came out of his Marvel bubble to attend the premiere of Universal Pictures‘ Dolittle at the Regency Village Theatre on January 11, 2020 in Westwood, California together with his wife and film producer Susan Downey.
For the occasion, Downey Jr. wore a Giorgio Armani dark blue velvet suit from the Pre-Fall 2020 collection paired with a checkered stand-up collar men’s shirt underneath in a lighter shade of blue and a scarf gently wrapped around his neck, in a color that matched his whole suit.
He accessorized the look with Mobs boots in the shade “bronze” and Ahlem Place de l’École sunglasses with custom blue lenses; his stylist Jeanne Yang mentioned a Panerai watch to complete the ensemble (not visible in the pictures).
Dolittle (also referred to as The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle) is a 2020 American fantasy adventure film.
A reboot of the original 1967 Doctor Dolittle film and its Eddie Murphy counterparts, Dolittle is based on the title character created by Hugh Lofting and is primarily inspired by the author’s second Doctor Dolittle book, The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle (1922).
In the movie, Robert Downey Jr. plays the role of Dr. John Dolittle, a Welsh widowed veterinarian who has the ability to speak to animals.
