On this cloudy day, we’ll talk about a recent premiere and a beloved actor: Regé-Jean Page.
Would you like to know what he wore to the Los Angeles premiere of “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” last March? Then keep on reading.
On the red carpet Regé donned an upcycled soft shell neutral beige Earth Floral suit from London-based eco-fashion label Love Hero. The fit was relaxed, with the front featuring a three placement floral print.
The flowers were printed in Italy using zero water technology and made on demand in London. To keep the simplicity of the outfit, he just wore a white tank top underneath.
He paired the suit with Malone Souliers loafers (we are not completely sure about the color because of the photo flashes in the pictures), an Ouie Noise Keyring chain necklace in recycled solid 18k gold and a Lady Grey Jewelry Split bangle in yellow gold.
Tasha Reiko Brown was in charge of his grooming, making sure his complexion looked even for the event while Christopher LeNeo was in charge of barbering and hairstyling.
I would like to point out that Regé and his stylist Holly Macnaghten were very ambitious while putting together this outfit because even though it may seem simple and “not big of a deal” it was very much rooted in sustainability.
For starters, Love Hero‘s philosophy for example is to produce clothing that don’t cost the planet, indeed the actor’s outfit was created on demand, using technologies that don’t harm the environment.
Ouie‘s jewels are made with carefully sourced materials, their team ensures fair labor practices and they try to minimize their environmental footprint whenever possible.
Lady Grey on the other hand is well known for its social activism and charitable partnerships – raising and donating a portion of sales to social justice initiatives and environmental causes – as well as having its focus on small-scale, localized production with the majority of the collections made entirely in-house at their NYC studio.
Quite the commitment for a look, but that’s how you do it, facts speak louder than words.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a 2023 American fantasy heist comedy film directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Gilio from a story by Chris McKay and Gilio.
Based on the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, it is set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting and has no connections to the previous film trilogy released between 2000 and 2012.
The movie had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 10, 2023, and was released in the United States on March 31, 2023, by Paramount Pictures.
Regé-Jean Page stars as Xenk Yendar, a paladin who narrowly escaped the lich Szass Tam‘s rise to power in Thay and as a result, ages more slowly than a normal human.
