Yesterday I was scrolling through Instagram, trying to find inspiration for today’s article and I was hypnotized by some pictures of Rachel Weisz on a red carpet.

After further research, I found out that the event in question was the premiere of “Youth” during the 68th Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2015 in Cannes, France. And I immediately decided to get on it.

Weisz wore a teal floor-sweeping custom Prada silky gown, consisting of a little train and a keyhole cut in the front. It was quite reminiscent of this Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear model.

The style choice was not left to chance, indeed as her stylist told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s like a real old-world movie star dress. Rachel’s coloring is amazing with this supersaturated jewel tone. I also love the ’40s shape on her—there’s something very Marlene Dietrich about it.”

The actress accessorized the look with Chaumet Lumières d’Eau earrings and ring in white gold, diamonds, sapphires and aquamarines (keep in mind that the pictures have filters applied, so the colors could seem a bit off).

We can see a pair of black high heels peeking through her dress as she climbed the stairs.

Makeup artist Matin used Willa and Orlane Paris skincare to prep her skin, he also mentioned Armani Beauty, Dior and Bite Beauty as brands of choice for her makeup (sadly there is no tutorial/information available regarding this specific red carpet look).

Youth is a 2015 Italian comedy-drama film written and directed by Paolo Sorrentino. It is the director’s second English-language film, and stars Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel as best friends who reflect on their lives while holidaying in the Swiss Alps.

It is a story of the eternal struggle between age and youth, the past and the future, life and death, commitment and betrayal.

In the movie, Rachel Weisz plays the role of Lena Ballinger.
