After witnessing this year’s magnificent MET Gala (working on the research phase right now, to bring you the best in-depth articles in the future) I was inspired and I decided to write about a brand that considers tailoring its cornerstone.
That’s how Penn Badgley attending the 5th season premiere of the Netflix series “You” in New York City came to mind.
For the occasion, indeed Badgley donned a light brown Thom Browne notch lapel suit with flap pockets, a white men’s shirt underneath, paired with matching pants and tie–to finish off the look, he also opted for black lace-up Thom Browne boots.
His grooming was courtesy of Alex Keating who used Twelve Beauty products to achieve a flawless and lightweight glow on the face, plus Amika products to keep his short hair shiny, healthy and in place.

Fabio Immediato styled him for the event and pretty much in line with Joe Goldberg–the character Penn portrays in the series–he opted for a classic suit, making the tailoring and the subtle elegance do the work.
There has been a lot of discourse around quiet fashion these past years and many of us know that the more money you have, the less you are concerned about visual branding: it’s all in the details, the fabrics and the cuts.
We can undoubtedly say that Thom Browne is the perfect embodiment of the love for craftsmanship and savoir-faire, a delicious choice to celebrate the final season of a very beloved show.
