We are starting the week with glitz and glamour, courtesy of the timeless beauty of Nicole Kidman.

Going a little bit back in time, we chose to write about what she wore to the InStyle Awards 2021, an event that we have never reported on before. Guess it was time!

For the award celebration, Kidman donned a stunning purple sequined Armani Privé short dress with ruffled beaded hem from the Spring 2009 collection paired with black Aquazzura Tequila 105 crystal-embellished suede sandals.

Kidman accessorized the look with Harry Winston Sparkling Cluster diamond earrings, a Harry Winston Secret Combination necklace in platinum with diamonds, a Harry Winston Pirouette diamond ring on her left index finger and a Harry Winston Diamond Links small bracelet, made up of 181 round brilliant diamonds weighing a total of approximately 6.69 carats, set in platinum.

Nicole‘s makeup was dramatic but in the best way: a feast for the eyes with sparkles entirely covering her eyelids. Those sparkles were also gently applied to her lower lash line for maximum cohesion, and her eyes were further accentuated by fluttery long lashes.

Celebrity makeup artist Kate Synnott was behind the look, and the products used were courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs.

If you’re interested in knowing the specifics of the process, she also shared a product breakdown with her Instagram followers and we conveniently copied everything you need to know, here for you below (slightly edited for clarity).

“SKIN
I used Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer to hydrate and prep Nicole‘s Skin.
I wanted to keep her skin glowy and natural so I used Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation in (shade Light 4) all over her face neck and décolletage.
I used Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer (Light shade 3) under NK‘s eyes to add a little more coverage and brightness.

EYES
We wanted the eyes to stand out with a smokey smudged look, softened with sparkle shadow. I used the PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in Xtreme Black all over NK‘s lids and under the eye and then smudged it out and upwards like a soft wing.
Then I used MTHRSHP MEGA: Celestial Odyssey in shade (Lunar Haze) all over the lids, blended out toward the socket and under the eye. I used Galactic Glow shadow in the center of the eye to give an extra highlight. Then I tight-lined with more Xtreme Black and finished with FetishEYES™ Mascara.

BLUSH
Nicole has beautiful creamy skin, so I just wanted to add a touch of color and glow with Divine Blush + Glow Trio in Galactic Sun for a glowy sun kissed effect.

LIPS
To finish the look I used the PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Star Struck and BlitzTrance™ Lipstick in shade
Skinsane for the perfect neutral pout!”

Her hair was styled in a slightly messy, romantic updo with a front middle part by Kylee Heath. Soft strands of hair carefully framed her cheekbones, but at the same time made everything look quite sultrier.

Nicole‘s short square-shaped nails were painted with a milky hue by manicurist Thuy Nguyen.

Every time Nicole Kidman walks on a red carpet, it is inevitable to see that behind her there is the wise hand of a consummate stylist.

Not for nothing, Kidman started working with Julia von Boehm because she was impressed by her editorial background, and it’s undoubtable that every time you see the “Roar” actress, you understand that attention to detail has been an integral part of her style for years now.

Also, admirable choice to choose an archival Armani Privé piece for such an event.
