This Monday I wanted to write about something chic and refined but with a twist, and I thought about the fact that the Vogue World event in Paris is approaching.
To refresh your memory, here is an article about actor Ncuti Gatwa attending it last year, in an outfit that was just what I was looking for.
For the occasion, Gatwa donned a Burc Akyol ensemble featuring a black see-through long shirt, black cigarette pants, and an olive green and white train from the Spring 2024 Menswear “Palm Gardens” collection, paired with black patent leather Christian Louboutin boots.
The “Barbie” actor complemented the look with plenty of Tiffany & Co. jewels: a Tiffany T diamond wire band ring on his right index finger, a T1 diamond ring on his right pinky, a Tiffany Victoria band diamond ring on his right ring finger, a Tiffany Victoria Alternating diamond ring on his left index finger, a Schlumberger Sixteen stone ring on his left middle finger, a Tiffany T True diamond Link ring on his left ring finger and a Tiffany T True diamond ring on the same finger.
Ncuti‘s skin was as glowy as can be, thanks to the fine work of Keshia East, while his clean short cut was courtesy of friend and collaborator Christian Okonta. Colorist Jessie Renyard made sure his blond looked fresh and not too yellow-y.
I am truly mesmerized by this outfit and the excellent choice of the French couturier of Turkish descent Burc Akyol. I love the juxtaposition of materials and the colors that make everything flow seamlessly.
Ncuti was styled by Felicity Kay who knows how to combine high and low without making it feel too serious, while he brought the poise and the drama necessary to make everything work and stand out.

Vogue: World is an event that kicked off London Fashion Week on September 14, 2023. It is masterminded by Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful.
After its first edition in New York in 2022, this year it landed in London’s West End and according to Vogue, the publication invited Stephen Daldry (of The Crown and Billy Elliot fame) to creatively oversee a theatrical celebration of the very best of British culture and fashion.
The show also featured performances from leading lights of opera, theater, and film, as well as classical and pop music. The finale was a runway extravaganza showcasing highlights from the Autumn/Winter 2023 collections, and featuring a quartet of supermodels.
All net ticket proceeds from the event went to benefit a wide range of performing arts organizations in the capital.
