Naomi Yasuda

Naomi Yasuda is a Japan native, New York based, nail artist.

Her affinity with nail art and predisposition for detail, developed in her from an early age, while she patiently watched her grandmother, a kimono tailor, create intricate designs on fabric.

She started out by painting her sisters’ and friends’ nails and once she felt more confident, she enrolled at the Chunichi Beauty College in Nagoya, Japan, where she studied the art of manicure and nail design. After graduating, she moved to NY, where she was sure she would find her success.

It didn’t take much for her to become famous among celebrities, who required her services and admired her talent.

Yasuda’s nail art has now graced the hands of important personalities such as Madonna, A$AP Rocky, Gigi Hadid, Travis Barker, Amanda Lepore, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and her nail artistry has also been front-and-center in ad campaigns, including Kenzo Paris, Chanel and Fendi, and in films like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Her work was featured in the exhibition Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial at the Smithsonian Design Museum, highlighting her influential role in the popularity of nail art.

She is represented by Forward Artists and you can find her portfolio HERE
