I love talking about the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty and today I wanted to write about one of my favorite looks from this year.

Get ready to be hypnotized by Naomi Campbell and her outstanding outfit.

For the party, Naomi donned a Schiaparelli Haute Couture illusion strap dress in beige stretch silk georgette, fully embroidered with molded leather metal sequins.

Incorporated in the dress, there was a matching molded leather bra topped with conical breasts pinned with brass and hand-facetted glass piercings. The look came from the Spring 2023 collection.

Campbell also paired the ensemble with matching Schiaparelli foot pumps, Luisa Alexander Oversized Emerald Cut Goldstone™studs in 14k yellow gold, a gold clutch and a Briony Raymond vintage French gold necklace, layered with a 1970 Italian flexible tubogas-style Collar necklace comprised of textured 18k yellow gold.

The model’s makeup was glowy and combined rose and brown tones.

Makeup artist Raoúl Alejandre placed glittery golden eye shadow on the inner corners to open up her eyes and made sure Naomi‘s lashes were curled and separated. A reflective, almost wet eye shadow was gently applied on the lids.

Alejandre used products by Pat McGrath Labs and Pat herself shared the breakdown on her Instagram–we’ll report it here so you don’t have to search for it:

Her hair was styled in her signature sleek long do with middle part by Lorenzo Barcella, but sadly we were not able to retrieve any information regarding her getting ready process.

She also showed off a long, square pink-ish manicure. As many know, the model is very keen on maintaining a strict skincare regimen and an overall curated appearance, hence why nails were taken care of too.

This time, Naomi was styled by Carlos Nazario, one of the best in the game.

I remember when I first discovered his talent by dressing people like Paloma Elsesser and falling in love with his perspective on women. You can understand when someone loves a woman and takes care of her while they’re dressing her and you can also understand when someone just puts one in a skimpy garment for the sake of attracting the male gaze and nothing more.

What Nazario does is empowering women, black and white. He knows that they shouldn’t be afraid to show who they are, whatever their preferences. He respects them and nurtures them, and it is truly meaningful for me.

That being said, dressing someone like Campbell was probably a high pressure job, but the result was exceptional in my opinion.
