This Tuesday we wanted to report about a colorful ensemble and a model who is doing her best to highlight Black talent: Naomi Campbell.
The event in question was this year’s Business of Fashion 500 Gala, where she was accompanied by her longtime friend Camille Miceli, now creative director of Emilio Pucci.
Naomi looked fierce in an Emilio Pucci multicolor long figure-hugging ensemble from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection which was paired with black patent leather Saint Laurent Zoe 85 décolleté pumps.
During dinner and once she was out of the venue, the model was also seen wearing a matching look with cape from the same collection, and to shield herself from paparazzi, she wore a pair of–what seemed to be–Alexander McQueen Spike Studs rectangular sunglasses in Black/Smoke.
Her jewelry of choice was Pasquale Bruni: a Giardini Segreti ear cuff on her right ear, a single Petit Garden earring in white gold 18k on her left ear, a Giardini Segreti diamond ring on her right ring finger, a Feel ring on her left index finger and a Giardini Segreti ring on her left ring finger.
Her lit from within glow was courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Angloma, who is well known for this particular aspect of his artistry. He made sure Naomi‘s skin was glowy and hydrated, with light touches of highlighter on the bridge of her nose and forehead. Juicy lips and fluttery lashes finished off the look.
Her hair was styled in a sleek long do with deep side part by Lorenzo Barcella, one of her signature styles. Everything was tucked behind her ears, so everybody could admire the beauty of her jewels.
Campbell showed off a black French manicure and upon further research, I think that we can confidently say that it was courtesy of Michelle Class, who used The GelBottle products to create it.
Naomi kept this same manicure for many previous events, a W China cover and runway shows, so I guess she was pretty much thrilled with the result.
For her latest public outings, Naomi is relying on the services of stylist Ugo Mozie, a professional who is on the same wavelength as the model. Both do a lot for their respective communities and both know how much it is important to collaborate and uplift each other, especially in such a cutthroat industry as this one.
The Black beauty looked youthful and as good as ever, I cannot believe she is 53.
She is aging with grace and I am happy that she is still modeling and crashing down the idea that a model career has a time limit.
