I am currently following the Cannes Film Festival so it isn’t that easy being consistent here and I hope you’ll forgive me for it.
Today I needed something to distract me from my thoughts and I told myself that writing about an intricate outfit would do the work for me, at least it’s something that I tried, to trick my brain.
So let’s talk about what actress Millie Bobby Brown wore to the Los Angeles premiere of her latest project “The Electric State“.
The actress donned an Annie’s Ibiza Celestius long gown with a square neckline whose design echoed the bold geometry and artistry of Florence. The dress featured a structured corset with meticulously hand-applied embellishments that sculpted the body with an armor-like feel, along with cap sleeves and a mermaid train.

She complemented the ensemble with a De Beers Protection necklace, a pair of De Beers Drops of Light earrings with pear cut yellow diamonds and a De Beers Dignity cocktail ring in 18K gold featuring inlaid diamonds totaling 4.90 carats with a main diamond of 2.62 carat on her right middle finger.
Millie was made up by Buster Knight who opted for a glittery, silver-y eyeshadow applied on the lids, a thin flick of black eyeliner, a rose-y blush on the apples of her cheeks and a matching pout.
She channeled Pamela Anderson with her messy updo styled by Pete Burkill, and everything was in line with the ’90s feel she had in mind for the press tour, from the statement accessories to the usual frosty colors used for the makeup.
In an interview for Extra, Millie revealed that she had 17 nail sets made in 3 days to promote the movie, courtesy of her manicurist Kim Cao.
From the picture above, you can see that the pro also applied some dark gold swirls on each nail, to match the dress.
Once again, the “Stranger Things” actress was styled by Ryan Young.
What I can say about the outfit choice is that it gives me the idea of ruins and long lost masterpieces and if you watched the movie you’d know that there is plenty of nostalgia and dust in it, hence why such a dress wouldn’t be too far of a reach.
Surely what we can gather is that Millie is growing up and maturing and she is allowed to experiment and find her own path.
