I felt really down today and one thing that makes me feel better–as shallow as it may seem–is to write about things that require a certain level of research, so that my mind can unravel and get lost in its thoughts.

A comfort for me is to write about Versace, a brand that I deeply admire and that in the darkest of times has been my needed escape.

That being said, I’d love to talk to you about Miley Cyrus attending The Daily Front Row‘s Seventh Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards at The Beverly Hills Hotel on April 23, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California.

Even though her outfit may have seemed simple, it was a custom creation from Atelier Versace. I could trace some potential inspiration from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection, specifically from the looks 65 for the corset and 27 for the skirt.

Upon further research, I can also add that many of the necklines present in the Versace Fall 1991 Ready-to-Wear collection were presumably a starting point for the Italian brand’s collection that was showcased in Los Angeles.

She paired her ensemble with black Versace pumps (visible in the look 61 below), matching black opera gloves and an amicably called Chrome Hearts leather Fly Swatter.

Miley‘s makeup was courtesy of James Kaliardos who elongated her eyes with an abundant dose of black liner toward their ends and lengthening mascara to make them pop even more. Bare lids and a nude lip kept the look grounded without making it heavier.

Cyrus attended the award show in a new split dye, even against her godmother Dolly Parton‘s advice. In this instance it was styled in beachy waves by Bob Recine, one of her signature styles (even though she has sported many over the years).

Meanwhile, while I’m writing this article, British Vogue just posted their June cover 2023 and guess who’s on it?

So I guess I wasn’t that wrong when I told you that as superficial as it may seem, having this connection with fashion can really help you heal and escape from a world that is so full of hate, misconceptions, injustices, problems, tears and pain.

I hope many of you feel as I do about it.

For those who are fans of a good tan, you should know that tan artist Isabel Alysa used the following products to bronze Miley‘s skin:

Dolce Glow – Self-Tanning Mist;
Dolce Glow – Mia Instant Body Glow;
Dolce Glow – Kabuki Brush to blend.

One thing I’ve always loved about Donatella Versace–and something that she reiterates many times in interviews–is her ability to look back at her own archives and tweak things, upgrading them, even though they look as timeless as ever even if they were designed 20 or more years ago by her brother.

Stylist Bradley Kenneth has undoubtedly been a style propeller for Miley and what I admire about him is the fact that he doesn’t seek fame or notoriety, he works behind-the-scenes and makes his work speak for him.

We sometimes see professionals who put their fame and narcissism at the forefront and it shouldn’t be, especially if they lack quality in what they do for a living. Their vanity should not impact the service they provide for a client.

The Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards were created in 2015 to honor the best in fashion in Hollywood.

This year, Miley Cyrus‘ stylist Bradley Kenneth received the honor of Music Stylist of the Year, personally presented to him by her.
