Michelle Jank is one of Australia’s most talented and diverse creative consultants.
Her aesthetic vision is executed across the worlds of film, fashion, jewellery, costume and theatrical design, show production and fashion styling.
As well as showing and exhibiting her own solo garments and jewellery designs, she has collaborated creatively with some of the world’s greatest design agencies.
Clients include Acne Studios, Dover Street Market, Colette, Liberty of London, Harvey Nichols, Moët et Chandon, Paspaley and Zimmermann. Michelle has styled Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Rose Byrne, Nicole Kidman, Chloë Sevigny and others.
Her stage projects have included costumes and creative direction for the Sydney Dance Company, collaborations with the American Ballet Theatre, The Netherlands Dance Company, The Lobero Theatre Santa Barbara, The Baryshnikov Center for the Arts in New York, the New York City Ballet, English National Ballet & Munich State Ballet.
Film projects have included collaborations with Collider Films as well as special commissions from Acne Sweden and The Sydney Dance Company. The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney and the National Gallery of Victoria are home to several of Michelle’s custom garments, on display in their permanent collections.
She has also been named an ambassador to the National Gallery of Victoria, and received a citation for her contribution to fashion design and the arts.
