Today I’d like to write about a couture ensemble that caught my attention this past March. The event in question? Vanity Fair‘s Oscar Afterparty.
Michaela Jaé Rodriguez looked just incredible on its red carpet and I’m here to report about it.
Rodriguez stunned in a pink Atelier Versace intricate long gown with silver Medusa accents, from the Spring-Summer 2023 collection, paired with gold Jimmy Choo Max 150 metallic leather platform open-toe sandals.
The Black stunner also combined her ensemble with Pomellato jewelry: a pair of Iconica Hoop earrings, what seemed to be a Sabbia ring and a Catene ring (keep in mind that this is a tentative identification, because the pieces were barely visible in the pictures).
Mj‘s makeup was courtesy of Kelechi Onuoha, who used a pink eyeshadow as a base for the eyelids and then applied a very sparkly eyeshadow on top of it to open up the eyes. A hint of pink on the lower lash line, fluttery, long eyelashes and a glossy pout completed the look.
All products used were from the Charlotte Tilbury makeup line.
Celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace styled the “Pose” actress’ hair in a long, sleek do with middle part, using True Indian Hair extensions in the style “Naomi RTW“.
Michaela Jaé‘s long nails were her own, and according to her manicurist Emi Kudo, she takes great care of them. The pro uses “hyper realistic nail extensions” to maintain them, this means that when one of them breaks, she doesn’t cut them but extends the broken one.
The result is a long, healthy nail that she shows off with confidence whenever she has the chance.
This time, the “Loot” actress was styled by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, a powerful duo when it comes to red carpet greatness.
The variety of the ensembles they choose for their clients is a testament to their ability to find the perfect dress according to the occasion, and also, they will never just give you a simple black dress to look at, they will always give you something to drool over. This case was no exception.
