Melissa Murdick is a Los Angeles based celebrity makeup artist.
She has been beauty obsessed ever since she bought her first mascara at age 13. With a career spanning over 18 years, Melissa’s work has graced the covers of Elle France, Vogue Mexico, Rolling Stone, CR Fashion Book, Numéro Tokyo, Paper Magazine and more.
She’s worked with some of your favorite faces like Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, Rosalía, Haim, Tamera Mowry, and Madison Beer.
Melissa’s work centers around the ideal that makeup should reveal who you are and not hide who you are, so she is an expert at bringing out the best in people’s features and expressing who they are on the inside externally.
Aside from her work in the entertainment industry, Melissa also runs www.theprettyfix.com, a first-of-its-kind site she created to teach transgender women makeup from the ground up.
She is passionate about the LGBT+ community and volunteers at the LA LGBT+ center’s trans lounge as their makeup instructor. In her free time, Melissa loves to cook, go on hikes with her pup Penny, and eat as much ramen as humanly possible.
