After a short vacation, we are almost back on track to bring you the best moments from the red carpets around the world. What about Megan Thee Stallion attending this year’s Billboard Music Awards?
For the award show, Megan donned a custom Mugler degradè cut out dress, that we can now see as one of the starting points of the Spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection (the lookbook came out almost a month after the event).
She also accessorized her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo x Mugler crystal ball embellished sandals (the ball of her sandals was just clear), what appeared to be a Celine Ice Block lucite bracelet from the Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection and other custom pieces.
The Black entertainer’s makeup was courtesy of Lauren Elise Child and consisted of a slightly graphic smokey eye that reprised the tones of the dress, long fake lashes and a 90’s lip, keeping up with the earthy tones of the ensemble.
The hair was styled by Kellon Deryck in a long sleek do, using Flawless Illusion Hair HD matte lace glue to make sure the Black beauty’s wig stayed in place.
Megan‘s famous lipstick shaped nails were painted in an Espresso Chrome hue by manicurist Coca Michelle and they complimented the dress and its dynamic and minimalist vibe perfectly.
Mugler clothes are the perfect fit for entertainers, so there is no wonder in seeing Megan associate herself with the brand. You can move in their pieces, you can dance, you can sing–you can do anything you wish. She is a statuesque woman and it’s important to see women like her being represented and catered to, too.
Megan Thee Stallion was nominated (and won) in the category Top Rap Female Artist.
During the night she also performed “Plan B” and “Sweetest Pie” but wearing a different Mugler outfit.
