Marvin Francis is a UK based celebrity hairstylist.
He has been working in the industry since the age of 16, doing braids and plaits for his younger siblings and family members. He developed his skills by watching YouTube videos and practicing techniques, as trends changed and people were asking for different styles.
He is very passionate about his craft and can proudly credit himself as an authentically self taught hairstylist.
His interests in the hair, beauty and fashion industries have grown over the years and his drive for the business is integral to the way he styles his clients. He has a keen eye for detail and is a self confessed perfectionist.
He enjoys creating styles based on current trends, which he tailors to the preference of the client.
The feeling of making someone feel beautiful and excited about their hair when they get out of his chair is overwhelming and never gets old.
In April 2014, he was crowned the winner of the hit show on BBC Three called ‘Hair’. This was the most amazing and validating experience he has ever experienced. The support and feedback from the public was and still is unbelievable and humbling. It has provided him with so many opportunities and a great platform for him to build on.
He has worked with publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue Hommes International, plus commercial clients such as Diesel and House of CB to name a few.
His celebrity clients include: Ciara, Natalie Nunn (Bad Girls Club), Sarah Oliver (Bad Girls Club), Draya Michele (Basketball Wives), Syleena Johnson (R&B singer), Leomie Anderson (model) and many more.
He recently was hired to work with E! for the hit show ‘Rich Kids of Beverly Hills’ styling Dorothy Wang during her visit to the UK.
