Marissa Machado is a Los Angeles-based male groomer.
Machado specializes in creating the classic, handsome male look from head to toe, including men’s hair cutting and styling.
Since joining Art Department in 2015, Machado has groomed talent for pictorials in GQ, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, W, The Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter and Men’s Health, among other publications.
Her clients have included Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas (active clients since 2008), Miles Teller, Liam Payne, Michael Keaton, James Bay, Josh Groban and Wes Bentley.
Before the Art Department, Machado worked for the Celestine Agency, where in 2008, she turned her focus exclusively to male grooming.
In addition to her editorial work, Machado has groomed talent for movies, music videos, a television series, an international music tour and live TV appearances.
Machado graduated from cosmetology school in Santa Barbara in 2003 and went on to be the youngest artist of Stila’s traveling team.
