My instinct is something that I should follow more often and it’s what guided today’s topic of conversation.

Sometimes I get caught up in the numbers and this reasoning doesn’t reflect my way of thinking, because it’s way more abstract than that. I followed a friend’s advice and I chose to write about high fashion today, which is a huge part of my overall appreciation for the field.

But you know, sometimes the fear of being “too out of this world” or “impractical” haunts me and I end up doing what I don’t want to do and I disappoint myself in the process.

I don’t want you to feel this way, that’s why I’d love to talk about the dreamlike ensemble actress Maisie Williams wore to this year’s GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.

Williams donned a Maison Margiela silver, blue, black and grey halter neck tulle dress from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection paired with Maison Margiela Tabi 110mm rhinestone-embellished pumps.

She also accessorized her outfit with De Beers Snow Dance long earrings in white gold.

The “Game of Thrones” actress makeup was avant-garde and a true lesson in what makeup artistry can be.

Professional makeup artist Zoë Taylor painted her lids with black brush-like strokes on both eyes, leaving the upper lash line free of makeup and just focusing on the base and the cheeks.

Taylor only elongated the inner corners of Maisie‘s eyes with a little fine trait of black eyeliner.

The actress has been rocking the look in several occasions and apart from its practicality, it truly gives her the opportunity to experiment with different hairstyles and colors.

Whether it is slicked, bleached, styled in finger waves or just short, it goes truly well with her eclectic personality and her penchant for the arts that she expresses through different means.
