Madelaine Petsch at “The Strangers: Chapter 1” Premiere – LA

On this fine Monday I decided to switch gears and talk about the Los Angeles’ premiere of Madelaine Petsch‘s latest project as an Executive Producer: “The Strangers: Chapter 1“.

Petsch stunned in a Diesel O-Dyva dress, consisting in a fluid washed-satin skirt attached to bra-like cups shaping the front of the waist, and dramatic shawl-like jersey panels that could be strategically draped to form a plunging top; the look stemmed from the Spring 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection.

Everything was paired with black Jimmy Choo Max 150 open toe platform sandals (take this with a grain of salt because we are not even sure if they were made out of suede or satin because there are no shots where the shoes are actually visible or identifiable, just a quick video from one of stylists).

The jewels of her choice were a pair of black Loree Rodkin Polina earrings, a Loree Rodkin black diamond Signet ring on her right pinky and another cocktail ring on her left middle finger, from the same brand.

Her makeup was courtesy of Jen Tioseco, who intensified her eyes by applying a dense trait of black eye pencil on the lower and upper lash line and long chunks of individual falsies for added drama. A peach-y pout and little fine glitters on the inner corners and the lids sealed the deal.

Marc Mena styled the “Riverdale” actress’ hair in flowy waves parted in the centre, to add to sophisticated but casual vibe of the dress.

One of the most peculiar parts of this look was the attention to the nails: Queenie Nguyen created for her a chrome grey short manicure that perfectly matched the dress, something I’d see myself showing off too.

Madeleine was one again styled by glamorous duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, known for the theatricality of the outfits they choose for their clients. This time, in a more subdued twist, they were able to translate the dark subject matter of the movie into clothes, without going for an obvious black getup.

Petsch looked divine and collected, a testament to the multifaceted nature of her style collaborators.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 is a 2024 American horror film that is the third film in The Strangers film series and the first installment of an intended relaunch in the form of a standalone trilogy. 

It is directed by Renny Harlin, with a screenplay by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, from a story by Bryan Bertino, the director of the first film. 

Madelaine Petsch (as Maya) and Froy Gutierrez (as Ryan) star as a couple who come into contact with three psychopathic masked strangers while on a road trip.
