Today we are writing about actress and director Laura Dern, attending the Los Angeles premiere of Universal Pictures‘ “Jurassic World Dominion” on June 06, 2022 in Hollywood, California. As simple as that.

For the event, Dern donned a Prada turquoise bio duchesse turtleneck paired with a red bio duchesse skirt with origami pleats that seemed to take inspiration from the designs of the Spring 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection.

The actress completed her ensemble with light gold Prada brushed leather pumps with a screen-printed leather triangle logo and leather-covered heels, a Prada satin raso wrist bag with a semi-circular wrist bar, Pomellato Nudo 18k rose and white gold obsidian and black diamond earrings (among other difficult to identify rings) and a black Prada Triangle Logo belt to keep her skirt in place.

Thanks to a Vanity Fair interview, we were able to find more details pertaining her makeup, inspirations and parallels to her career; here below you can read what we found out.

Dern‘s MUA Simone Siegl aimed for a “very classy and clean” look, using these products:

True Botanicals – Chebula serum;
– a few drops of True Botanicals – Pure Radiance Oil;
– a thin application of the True BotanicalsChebula barrier cream;
Clé de Peau concealer to even out the skin tone (no shade specified);
– a couple of drops of Clé de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural (no shade specified).

Tata Harper – Cream Blush to warm up the cheeks (no shade specified);
Chanel – Cream Bronzer;
Chanel – Lip Liner (no shade specified);
Armani Beauty – Lipstick (no shade specified);
– everything rimmed by a transparent pencil to keep the color contained.

As for her choice of Prada for the occasion, the “Marriage Story” actress revealed that working with stylist Julia von Boehm and specific designers such as Stella McCartney or Raf Simons (for Prada) ties with her earth-minded ethos, being it through the materials or the dyes of certain dresses. Even the skincare she fiercely supports is sustainable, organic, owned and farmed by women.

The color block look inspired her bright red lip, which made her think about her character in “Wild at Heart” who wore no makeup and a red lipstick all the time.
