The Kardashians are a big part of the online conversation and their fame doesn’t come without its challenges.

Kylie Jenner has retreated a lot from public life recently, making almost clear to everyone that she loves not being in the spotlight, caring for her children and her private life.

When I think about her though, I cannot help but admit that she is one of the most fashion forward women of the family together with her sister Kim. That’s why today I’d like to talk to you about what she wore to this year’s Vanity Fair party.

Kylie stunned in a dark red Ludovic de Saint Sernin metal mesh cleavage dress with thin straps from the Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection, featuring a crystal incrustation inspired by the Flowers shot by Robert Mapplethorpe.

Her ensemble was paired with custom dyed Sergio Rossi Godiva décolleté pumps, diamond rings and earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and a Maison Raksha CartilageCluster‘ earring, visible on her left ear.

For those asking, Robert Mapplethorpe was an American photographer, best known for his black-and-white photographs. His work featured an array of subjects, including celebrity portraits, male and female nudes, self-portraits, and still-life images. His most controversial works documented and examined the gay male BDSM subculture of New York City in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Ludovic, the designer of the label, was born in Brussels and raised in Paris, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community who has his own unique way of portraying sensuality and sexuality.

For the night, Kylie was made up by her longtime friend and MUA Ariel Tejada who went for a subdued makeup consisting in a little flick of eyeliner, combed up brows, glossy lip, a minimum hint of contour and a reddish blush on the apples of her cheeks.

Her hair was styled in a wet looking do by Jesus Guerrero, something that went extremely well with the glow Tejada applied on her décolletage while manicurist Zola Ganzorigt painted her oval shaped nails with a milky hue.

As always, she was styled by sister duo Alexandra Rose and Mackenzie Grandquist.

I think there was a subtle play with bare sensuality here, because Kylie let her body and her curves talk, probably attracting the gazes of many around her. There is the juxtaposition of her young and pretty face, contrasting with the signals her body emits, all wrapped up in clothes that are the expression of a designer who is very erotic in his approach.

As simple of a dress as it may seem, I think it says more than what people may perceive; the internet guru did a great job without crossing the line between sultry and vulgar.
