Kumi Craig is a New York-based groomer and makeup artist.
After training and graduating at Blanche Macdonald (a beauty school in Vancouver, Canada), she understood that even though she loved the creativity of special effects, her interest was placed in makeup for photography, hence why she decided to move to NY.
Once in the city, she started networking like crazy, working with photographers and assisting whenever possible and one of her most important clients to this day is Jimmy Fallon who was her first full-page portrait editorial.
Kumi Craig fills in for Jimmy’s hair and makeup team if they are unavailable, she also works on his guests whenever it is required.
Kumi Craig’s attention to skin and deft touch has made her a go-to for a who’s who of men’s celebrities, including Timothée Chalamet, Sebastian Stan, Justin Theroux, Ethan Hawke, Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Matthew McConaughey, Oscar Isaac, Dane DeHaan, and many more.
Her work can be seen in campaigns for brands such as Diesel, Maison Kitsuné, Perry Ellis, and Zalando, and in the pages of publications such as L’Officiel Hommes, GQ, GQ Style, Esquire, W, and WSJ Magazine.
