Every day I feel quite rebellious (it’s a part of my personality) and lately I can assure you that there is a lot of rage animating what I do and my thoughts overall.

There is just too much injustice in the world and being an empath can complicate things, pretty much.

That’s the moment when I try to connect with people who are on the same wavelength as mine, because I can’t truly bear to live some days.

All this emotional prologue is my way to make you feel what I feel, because I know that I am not alone and I also know that the escapist way I conceive fashion, factors into making me feel better.

That being said, this Monday I felt in the mood for something unconventional and unique, hence why I’ll be writing about Kristen Stewart attending last year’s Cannes Film Festival for the promotion of her directing debut in ‘The Chronology of Water‘.

Stewart donned a cream custom Chanel shorts silk suit that according to Vogue France took 273 hours of work to complete.

In an interview for the publication, the actress revealed the inspiration behind it:

“I just wanted an incredibly active look that allowed me to move.

During filming, I used to wear the same thing every day: white shorts and a pristine jacket. So I asked myself how I could recreate the same look for Cannes, giving it a more refined touch, suitable for the event.

It was very exciting to have a general idea and see it reinterpreted with so much creativity by the house of Chanel.”

The actress accessorized it with white socks, contrasting with her black Chanel ankle sandals, a short black Chanel tie, Chanel jewels and a cream matching cap (which was probably a nod to her new role as a director).

The “Twilight” actress was made up by Charlotte Prevel, who applied a frosty silver eyeshadow on her eyes, defining them with a black trait of eye pencil and abundant coats of mascara. The skin was glowy, slightly contoured with a hint of blush; all products used were courtesy of Chanel Beauty.

Her hair was styled in messy waves by Bridget Brager, keeping up with the soft punk vibe of the ensemble–the colorist for the look was Daniel Moon, who dyed the actress’ ends with a light red hue.

Kristen‘s manicurist for the occasion was Charlène Coquard who opted for a short, milky manicure, using Chanel Beauty‘s nail polish in the shade ‘Glaciale‘.

The blonde stunner was dressed by her long time friend and collaborator Tara Swennen.
