Some designers have a special grip on my heart and this Wednesday is one of those days in which I can involve you in my unconditional love for them.
If you are an admirer of prints and colorful patterns, you’ll be glad to read about actress Kirsten Dunst‘s ensemble for this year’s Baby2Baby Gala.
For the occasion, Dunst stunned in a grey sleeveless Dries Van Noten long floral dress, decorated with a floral motif in purple and green from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection, paired with barely visible silver high heel sandals.
Her jewels of choice were from the brand Irene Neuwirth: she stacked together two Medium Classic Link Labradorite necklaces in 18k rose gold, a Small Classic Link Moonstone necklace, what seemed to be Pavé Halo Small Classic Studs in 18k rose gold with Rose of France gems and what seemed to be another Rainbow Moonstone ring.
Kirsten‘s makeup was courtesy of Pati Dubroff.
A master of the natural glam with striking accents of color, she made sure the actress’ skin looked glowy, focusing all the attention on mascara application. Every hair was coated from root to end, a testament to Dubroff‘s attention to detail.
A peachy blush was used on her cheeks, with a creamy burgundy red lipstick to clash with Kirsten‘s eyes and the motifs on the dress.
All products used were Chanel‘s, take a look at the pro’s kit in the picture down below.
Owen Gould styled the “Woodshock” actress’ hair in a medium length low ponytail, that he secured with her own hair. For added volume he also used Luxy Hair Extensions.
Her nails were painted with an opalescent nail polish and we will make sure to update this article in case we find out if there was a manicurist involved in her getting ready process.
For the gala, Dunst has changed style collaborators and worked with Samantha McMillen. The pairing was so spot on, because their dreamy way of conceptualizing clothes is practically the same. After all, with all the experience McMillen has mastered with Elle Fanning, it’s impossible to go wrong.
Dries van Noten is a gem in the saturated market that is fashion, but his humility and conscious intellectual distance from most of his peers make him one of the most genuine and interesting designers.
As faceted as Kirsten Dunst‘s personality is, I think this ensemble was a match made in heaven.
Baby2Baby is a nonprofit that provides children living in poverty across the country with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.
The organization was founded by Kelly Sawyer and Norah Weinstein in 2011; this year they raised more than $12 Million in donations.
