This Thursday I’d like to write about Khloé Kardashian attending last year’s CFDA Fashion Awards.
I know the Kardashians can be a polarizing topic but credit is given when credit due here, especially if they work with emerging talented designers who deserve to be talked about a lot more.
On the award show red carpet, Khloé stunned in a custom cutout LaQuan Smith melted bronze gown with train and a little bit of under boob.
The Kardashian sister was very humble and gave the designer all the creative freedom he needed to achieve greatness, he even confirmed it during a Harper’s Bazaar interview: “Sometimes I deal with clients who think they know it all, but Khloé was very open and receptive to my ideas. She gave me full creative control and said, ‘I want to be your bomb muse, and you just take the vision and go with it.'”
To complement her incredible outfit, she chose a pair of bronze Tom Ford 105mm Lizard-Print Lock metallic high-heel stiletto sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Her makeup was courtesy of Ash K Holm who used her SCULPT by Spectrum brush set to create a bronzed smokey look. The eyes were defined with a light trait of black pencil, blended out with a brown eyeshadow on the lower lash line and blended and extended towards the outer corners, diffusing the brown to give the look even more depth. A nude lip and laminated brows finished off the look.

The hair was styled in a sleek, knotted high chignon by Chris Appleton; all the emphasis was on the dress, so it was quite natural for her to prefer a hairstyle that wouldn’t draw attention.
Nail artist Chaun Peth painted Khloé‘s long claw nails with a nail polish in the shade ‘Marshmallow‘ from the brand The GelBottle INC.

It breaks my heart to see Khloé struggling with anxiety around paparazzi and her overall self-consciousness regarding her body. Her body dysmorphia is pretty evident and truly baseless but I guess that with that many eyes on you, you can be tough and strong all you want but you inevitably could fall victim to the stereotypes and the hatred.
Khloé has been through an intense journey through every facet of her life and I hope she’ll eventually find someone who appreciates her for who she is, without making her feel undervalued and taken for granted.
I am not sure about who was her stylist for the occasion and if she had one, I guess she just collaborated with the designer and that was enough for a superb outcome.
