I am still revisiting past events and today my attention was focused on what model Kendall Jenner wore to last year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty.

As soon as I saw that there was a vintage gown involved, I could not take the thought out of my mind, hence why I am here today, writing about it for you.

For the event, Jenner donned a black vintage Thierry Mugler rubber lace ensemble with a keyhole neckline and long pagoda sleeves from the Spring-Summer 1992 “Cow Boys” collection, paired with black Manolo Blahnik BB Lace pointed heels.

She accessorized the look with custom Lorraine Schwartz jewels that were inspired by those worn by Eva Herzigová on the runway.

The makeup was courtesy of Mary Phillips who opted for an airy flawless base, rosy cheeks, eyes defined by a little flick of black eyeliner and false lashes, plus nude juicy lips; all products used were from L’Oréal Paris (Kendall has been an Ambassador since July 2023).

The hair was styled in a short, middle-parted sleek bob by Tamás Tüzes, one of the model’s most recent collaborators.

Worth noting was her red square manicure which was also inspired by Herzigová‘s red nails on the catwalk.

The idea was to go for something sexy and sultry–manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, clearly nailed it (pun very much intended).

Kendall was styled by Dani Michelle, who proved to be one of the best professionals out there who know how to research through the archives while bringing on the red carpet compelling storytelling that aligns with her clients’ vision and taste.

Kendall values comfort, but she also has a keen eye for everything vintage and timeless, so it doesn’t surprise me to see that she connected with a dress of this kind, especially because she appeared in the L’Oréal x Mugler Fall 2025 limited edition makeup campaign, masterfully wearing beloved looks from the archives.
