Kali Kennedy is a California native who became fascinated with the art of make-up at an early age, encouraged by her artist grandmother.
Raised by a family of eclectics, Kali spent her childhood drawing and painting. This love of the arts soon transformed into a passion for crafting beauty, and five years ago, Kali moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a makeup artist.
Kali Kennedy’s enthusiasm for her craft made her an eager student in the burgeoning beauty world of Los Angeles and New York.
As she honed her craft in editorial, runway, fine art, and advertising, she developed a strong personal aesthetic and voice in the world of beauty.
Kali’s passion lies in the unexpected; the subtle or bold twist that takes visual culture over the threshold into art.
Kennedy’s work has been published in Vogue US, Vogue Italia, British Vogue, W Magazine, Dazed, Acne Paper, Pop amongst others, and has worked with photographers like Carlijn Jacobs, Steven Klein, Juergen Teller, Jamie Hawkesworth, Ryan McGinley, Petra Collins, Renell Medrano, Collier Schorr, Michael Bailey Gates and Theo Liu.
Kennedy’s advertising clients include Loewe, Fendi, Valentino, Balmain, Blumarine, Marc Jacobs, Jacquemus, Manu Atelier, MAC Cosmetics, Calvin Klein and Gap among others.
