To conclude this week I delved into the recent Beverly Hills premiere of the AppleTV+ series “Palm Royale” because the dress worn by model turned actress Kaia Gerber made my heart beat.
I am probably biased because I’ve always loved the brand in question–I see it as a true mix of unmistakable femininity and sensuality, factors that mean a lot to me as a young adult woman.
Gerber indeed stunned in a light blue Alaïa short draped dress from the Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection, paired with white Alaïa pumps.
Kaia relied on her usual glam team, working with Nina Park for the makeup and Bryce Scarlett for the hairstyling.
Park created for her a soft smokey eye, defined on the sides by a short flick of black eyeliner. The model is naturally blessed with long lashes so I suppose that the pro only applied generous coats of mascara to enhance them more–a creamy rose-y lipstick sealed the deal.
The hair was styled in a middle part cascading into silky, effortless beach waves.
The “Bottoms” actress also showed off a creamy, nude, square manicure.
Gerber was styled by powerhouse Danielle Goldberg, a woman who made classy refinement and love for the best fabrics her trademark.
Her aesthetic is generally monochromatic and streamlined but to the point, the ensembles she chooses for her clients are a perfect match to their personality, which is a bit more reserved apart from some exceptions (take recent client Ayo Edebiri or Olivia Rodrigo).
She’s dressing the so-called “cool girls” and is what I would define as a “silent stylist”. Her heart is pure and she knows that what she does for her clients it’s for them to feel confident in themselves and not for anybody else.

Palm Royale is a period comedy-drama television miniseries created by Abe Sylvia, based on the 2018 novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie by Juliet McDaniel.
The series premiered on March 20, 2024, with the first three episodes and Kaia Gerber stars as Mitzi, a manicurist and aspiring model.
