Joe Woolfe

Joe Woolfe is the founder & CEO at Labassa Woolfe and Woolfe Consultants Ltd.

Joe has been responsible for dressing/styling some of the most iconic men over the past two decades, such as Robbie Williams, Benedict Cumberbatch and the future King of England.

He is used to getting creative requests and working under very tight deadlines across the globe.

Labassa Woolfe is a boutique owned by Johan Labassa, an antiques dealer, and Joe Woolfe, previously Retail Director at Savile Row, plus tailor Spencer Hart, a celebrity stylist in his own right.

The boutique melds their passions to create the ultimate retail experience for men, with a collection of curated antiques, a bespoke tailoring service and a menu of Armagnac and foie gras sourced from Johan’s family farm in the southwest of France.

Woolfe has learnt a lot about fabrics because of his work with Scabal, whom he considers one of the best cloth manufacturers in the world, alongside Loro Piana. He knows a lot about tailoring and the construction of a suit and how that translates onto a person. He doesn’t like people looking like peacocks or like clowns, he likes his guys to be really sophisticated, really cool and elegant.

Their boutique doesn’t have a huge online presence: they want you to go there, see, touch and feel and get looked after by them, otherwise you wouldn’t experience what their brand is about–old school retailing experience. All the little things that are bespoke to the business even down to the packaging, the bags and the covers–they are all unique pieces.

Apart from Mr. Cumberbatch, he lists these gentlemen among his clients: Duncan James, Henry Golding, Jamie Bell and Johnny Harris to name a few.
