The Academy Awards are around the corner, and we can’t wait to see who this year’s winners and losers will be.
It also means that the Vanity Fair party is coming, as well as the Elton John AIDS Foundation party.
Needless to say that I will research anything and everything for you this weekend, so I apologize in advance if next week I won’t be as present, but I’ll try my best.
That’s why today I would like to talk to you about model Joan Smalls attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty last year and how she manages to look effortlessly beautiful every single time.
During the night, Smalls was seen wearing a Tamara Ralph fine silk crystal mesh draped skirt with black velvet bustier from the Spring-Summer 2025 collection, paired with Christian Louboutin Kate Max 100 black velvet pumps.
Furthermore, she accessorized her look with a pair of A.JAFFE stud earrings and a Kallati statement ring.

Joan‘s makeup was courtesy of @/louiesdollhouse and consisted in glowy skin and earthy tones, indeed the pro opted for a diffused black smokey eye and light brown defined lips.
The MUA shared with his Instagram followers a list of products he used on the model if you’d like to recreate the look at home.
Here it is (slightly edited for clarity):

The hair was styled in a sleek, side parted do carefully pulled behind the model’s back by Hos Hounkpatin–and what can we say apart from: très charmante, très chic.
To complement her look, she sported a nude French manicure while her styling was courtesy of Mickael Carpin, who knows a thing or two about Parisian elegance and how to bring it on a modern Hollywood red carpet.
The duo created astonishing looks together and I personally can’t wait to see if they’ll collaborate again for this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May.
Joan is simple but striking; the cameras surely and unapologetically love her.
