Jessica Chastain was a guest at the Golden Globe Awards 2015.
The ceremony was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 11, 2015 in Beverly Hills.
She wore a custom-made liquid metal bronze Atelier Versace dress with plunging neckline paired with black Jimmy ChooPatsy platform sandals and Piaget jewels (no wonder since she is a brand ambassador).
Fun fact–this dress was actually a backup for another event, as she revealed in an interview for InStyle: “I picked the dress a few days ago. They made it for me, I think, back in May as a backup. I wore something of theirs to Cannes and this was my backup. And then I put it on the other day and thought, what a good backup that was. Let’s wear this!”
Also, it was pretty on point since she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her work in A Most Violent Year as she noted: “If you were going to go thematic about it, it looks like an oil slick, and my movie’s about heating oil. There you go.”
According to Canadian Living: “A post show press release confirmed her dress was the inspiration for her loose Veronica Lake-esque curls with an elegant side twist”.

A Most Violent Year is a 2014 American crime drama film.
The protagonist is Abel Morales (played by Oscar Isaac), the owner of a small heating-oil company who is stressed by the competitiveness in the oil trade and his having to secure costly loans to expand his business. When his trucks start being hijacked, there is increased pressure for his drivers to arm themselves.
In the movie, Chastain plays the role of Anna Morales, Morales‘ wife.
